Capital Gas, a subsidiary of the Greek shipowner Evangelos Marinakis, recently confirmed an alternative order for Hyundai Heavy Industries to add a 174,000 cubic meter LNG ship, which will be delivered in 2021.

The LNG ship will be equipped with XDF propulsion and Mark III Flex cargo containment system and is one of the alternative orders for Capital Gas's six LNG ships at Hyundai Heavy Industries. Including the new ship, Capital Gas currently has five LNG ships at Hyundai Heavy Industries.

In July last year, Hyundai Heavy Industries announced that it has received orders for four LNG ships from Capital Gas. The total contract value is about 836.5 billion won (about 744 million US dollars). The new ship will be in the fourth quarter of 2020 to June 30, 2021. Delivery.

Capital Gas is a new company founded by Greek shipowner EvangelosMarinakis and its subsidiary MiltiadisMarinakis. At the time, Capital Gas's new orders marked the first time Marinakis entered the LNG ship market.
