The contracted project was designed by CSIC Ship Design and Research Center. This series of 210,000 tons Newcastlemax bulk carrier is mainly used for the transportation of Guinea Aluminum bauxite ore of China Aluminum Group, which fully meets the port restrictions and transit transfer of Guinea. Such as carrying requirements, with large capacity, low altitude, more economical, more environmentally friendly, intelligent and so on. The new ship has a total length of 300 meters, a width of 50 meters, a depth of 25.2 meters, a design draft of 16.1 meters, a speed of 14.5 knots, and an endurance of 27,000 nautical miles. This ship type can meet the latest HCSR specifications and further improve the safety of the ship. The new ship adopts strict environmental protection design standards, and has various environmental protection additional signs such as fuel tank protection and grey water control. In terms of energy conservation and environmental protection, it has achieved good energy saving by optimizing the design of ships, machines, oars and energy-saving devices. The effect of the row is verified by ship model test, which is about 6% energy saving compared with the previous generation of the same type of ship. The daily fuel consumption of the main engine can reach 44.8 tons/day; the ship energy efficiency index EEDl reaches the second stage level, which is higher than the energy efficiency design of the general large bulk carrier. Level, energy-saving effect will be significantly improved; with intelligent navigation, intelligent cabin, intelligent energy efficiency management, intelligent integration platform and other functions and configurations, the level of intelligence is further enhanced. According to the International Ship Network, Chinalco Hong Kong Co., Ltd. signed the mining agreement for the Boffa project in Guinea last June. Chinalco determined that the available resources in the Boffa area are about 1.75 billion tons and sustainable mining for 60 years. In September last year, COSCO Shipping and Chinalco Hong Kong Co., Ltd. signed a contract for the transportation of Guinea Bauxite in Beijing.
It is understood that COSCO SHIPPING plans to build a total of 30 Newcastlemax bulk carriers at domestic shipyards. The first batch of 16 210,000 DWT Newcastlemax bulk carriers will be built by five shipyards. The first 10 ships have been identified by COSCO COSCO Heavy Industries, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipyard, Nanchuan COSCO Shipping Kawasaki and Dalian COSCO Shipping Kawasaki. In addition, Qingdao North Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry under the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation each built three. |
