Strategic cooperation between COSCO Shipping Group and Management Committee of Shanghai Lingang New Area


On February 20, China Cosco Shipping Group and the Management Committee of Lingang New Zone of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone held the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation. The signing was witnessed by Xu Lirong, Chairman and Party Secretary of COSCO Shipping Group, Fu Gangfeng, Director, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of COSCO Shipping Group, Wang Haimin, Director and Deputy Party Secretary of COSCO Shipping Group, and Zhu Zhisong, Member of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of Party Working Committee of Lingang New Area and Executive Deputy Director of Management Committee of Lingang New Area. Feng Bo, deputy general manager and member of the party group of COSCO Shipping Group, and Zhao Yihuai, member of the party working committee of Lingang New Area and full-time deputy director of the management committee, signed the contract on behalf of both parties.



According to the agreement, the two sides will further promote high-level institutional opening-up, build a global shipping hub with the Yangtze River Delta at the highest standard and at the highest level, and take the lead in making breakthroughs in a number of important areas such as free movement of goods, highly open transportation, convenient capital flow and fast information connectivity. COSCO Shipping Group will support the high-quality economic development of Shanghai, establish a global sharing service platform company and ship leasing company in the Lingang New Area, study the development of high-end shipping industry chain such as smart logistics supply chain management center, and promote the construction of a global shipping hub to a new level.



Responsible persons of relevant departments of COSCO Shipping Group, COSCO Shipping Container Shipping and relevant departments of Management Committee of Lingang New Area attended the above activities.
