Two 4,000-horsepower LNG powered vessels from Wushu Group are guarding the ship's slipway
On March 1, two 4,000-horsepower LNG powered guard supply vessels (with and without SPS-3#) built by China Shipbuilding & Arms Group for CNOOC Service were successfully placed on the shipyway.
Since the signing of the project contract, in order to ensure the balanced and orderly production of the 4,000-horsepower LNG powered guard ship, the project department of Wushuan Group has been stationed on the production site to control the latest construction status, grasp the overall construction progress of the project, reasonably arrange various production plans, and effectively allocate and utilize production resources to ensure the orderly production.
The project department managed the construction and management of eight vessels at the same time, and overcame various difficulties. With the joint efforts of the whole team, the Type 2 No.1 vessel successfully completed the launching node on December 26, and carried out the mooring test. The ship was scheduled to be delivered at the end of July. The two Type 2 ships have been put on the slipway and are scheduled to be launched in June.
The 4,000hp LNG powered guardian ship project consists of two types of eight vessels. The total length of the vessel is 65 meters, the width of the vessel is 15.2 meters, and the depth of the vessel is 6.6 meters. The designed speed is 12.54 knots and the self-holding capacity is 30 days. The designed speed is 12.54 knots and the self-holding capacity is 30 days. The main engine fuel is LNG as the main fuel and diesel as the backup fuel.
The main engine emissions of these two types of ships meet the requirements of IMO Tier III in LNG fuel mode, and they are green ships in the true sense. It is the first time that LNG clean fuel is applied to OSV in China, which will play a positive demonstration and lead role in promoting the use of LNG clean energy in ships. The two types of vessels have good seaworthiness and seakeeping performance, large loading capacity, fast sailing speed, and can operate safely under harsh sea conditions.
