Beijing Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd delivers the 180,000-ton bulk carrier "CSSC Nanjing"
The 180,000-ton bulk carrier CS Nanjing, built by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSSC) for China Shipbuilding & Marine Brokerage (CSSC), was successfully delivered on May 25 morning. The ship is the third ship delivered by CSSC this month. Du Hanbing, deputy general manager of China Shipbuilding Industry & Trade Co., Ltd., named and cut the cable for the ship at the naming ceremony held at the Beishuan Heavy Industry Terminal. During the construction process of the ship, BSIC implemented the project management mode of the main ship type and the main construction team, made overall planning, started with the optimization of design and improvement, carefully organized, accelerated the coordination of key issues, and continued to carry out the multi-island construction closing mode in the dock. During the trial period, the main engine runs for 65 hours with the lowest fuel consumption for the series ship. After the ship returned to the factory, it overcame the adverse factors such as weather, reasonably adjusted the plan and resource arrangement, and achieved the completion and delivery conditions in only 12 days, which was affirmed and praised by the shipowner. Leaders from China Shipbuilding, China Shipbroker, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and BSIC attended the ceremony. The ship has a total length of 292.0m, a width of 45.0m, and a depth of 24.80m. It was designed according to the requirements of the CSR specification. It was equipped with a mixed desulphurization tower and a USCG type approved ballast water treatment device.
