Hudong China's first 15000TEU container ship has successfully returned to China on trial
On July 22, the first 15000TEU ship H3038 successfully completed the trial mission after 10 days, and returned to berth at Changxing Shipbuilding No. 4 Wharf.
H3038 is a 15000TEU container bow ship built by Changxing Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Hudong China Shipbuilding Co., LTD., for CMA Shipping Group in France. It is the largest container ship in New Panama. It uses conventional fuel propulsion scheme and is equipped with the most advanced Scrubber and nitrogen removal unit SCR with both open and closed functions. It has the characteristics of large container load, advanced technology, energy saving and environmental protection.
Based on the technical characteristics of the ship, a large number of trial projects are added compared with the conventional ship type. Meanwhile, because the scrubbers system and the main engine SCR system are the first contact for Changxing Shipbuilding, the professional level of the trial team is required. In order to ensure the smooth development of the trial, the trial team is firm in its goal and adopts the 24-hour shift system to work continuously. In the week before the trial, they live and eat on the ship, work overtime until 3 or 4 in the morning every day, and make full preparations with concerted efforts. At the terminal stage, the test of power loss and ship collapse was completed. At the same time, the inspection of alarm points of SCR system of scrubber tower and main engine reached 95%, which saved a lot of precious time for the trial voyage.
After the trial began, under the correct leadership of the temporary Party branch of the trial, party members and cadres bravely took on the heavy burden, commanded in front, and promoted the trial project in an orderly manner. During the process, the trial team strengthened the communication with the scrubber service provider, integrated the relevant commissioning work of the scrubber system into other projects and carried out simultaneously, which greatly shortened the commissioning period. As the first ship to be manufactured, although the ship was well prepared, it still faced many challenges during the trial. The trial team faced the pressure, took precise measures and worked closely to ensure the efficient completion of each trial. With the concerted efforts of all, the unmanned engine room successfully applied for one-time inspection, realized the smooth return before the "Fireworks" typhoon, and successfully completed the trial mission.
