First in the world! CSSC Mitsui delivers WinGD 9X92DF dual fuel engine
On August 5, 2021, the world's first CMY-WINGD 9X92DF dual-fuel main engine, developed by Winter Thour Engine Co., LTD., a subsidiary of CSSC Power Group, and manufactured by Shanghai CSSC Mitsui Shipbuilding Diesel Engine Co., LTD., successfully completed the bed performance test and was successfully delivered to the customer. It has been recognized by shipowner, classification society and shipyard. The maximum power of CMD-WINGD 9X92DF is 42560kW. As a new member of the X-DF engine family, the WinGD X92DF dual-fuel main engine inherits the excellent characteristics of the X-DF engine family. It is characterized by high thermal efficiency, large single cylinder power, low operating cost, good economy, green and environmental protection, and can directly meet the emission requirements of IMO TierIII in gas mode. In July 2020, CSSC Power (Group) Co., Ltd. signed an order contract with Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group for 2+8 WinGD9X92DF main engines. The series main engines will be built by Shanghai CSSC Mitsui Shipbuilding Diesel Engine Co., LTD. It will be used for the 14,000TEU dual-fuel powered container Ship to be built by Jiangsu New Yangtze Shipbuilding for Shanghai Greathorse International Ship Management Co., Ltd. This delivery is the first mainframe in the series. This project took 13 months from August 2020 to August 2021, which once again refreshed the production cycle record of THE world's first manufacturing machine of CSSC Mitsui. In the whole process of the first system, CSSC Mitsui actively mobilized all the forces, from R & D and design to production and manufacturing, from production assurance to quality control, from supporting management to commissioning service, all the departments made concerted efforts to deliver a perfect answer to the customer, and did not disappoint the customer's trust in CSSC Mitsui. The successful submission of the CMD-WINGD 9X92DF dual-fuel main engine marks the growing maturity of THE production and manufacturing capacity of the ultra-large WinGD X series dual-fuel main engine, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent mass production of the ultra-large WinGD X series dual-fuel main engine. X92DF series dual fuel main engines have become the most competitive core products of CSSC Mitsui. By July 2021, a total of 28 X92DF series mainframes have entered into force worldwide, and all of them will be manufactured by CSSC Mitsui. At present, X92DF dual fuel main engine has become one of the main propulsion schemes for very large container ships. X92DF, as the world's most powerful intelligent electronically controlled green main engine, will gradually win the favor of more ship owners with its excellent emission performance, good economy and reliability. With the increasingly stringent requirements of IMO on ship emissions, the dual-fuel main engine market is further expanding.
