China Merchants Shipping Group delivered the second new generation of energy saving and environmental protection VLCC

It is a new-generation VLCC product independently developed by OFCOM. Compared with the previous generation, the ship pays more attention to the energy-saving optimization of the actual operation of the ship, greatly reduces the consumption of ballast draft and fuel oil, and improves the sailing performance of the ship in wind and waves. The ship not only has excellent overall index series, but also has excellent ehs performance, meet the specification (HCSR) coordinate joint structure, meet the requirements of the latest nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxide emissions, meet the design index of energy efficiency in advance stage requirements, meet the eu shipbreaking lard company convention harmful material listing requirements, the latest requirements, etc. "Kaizhi" wheel is 333 meters long, with a total coating area of more than 540,000 square meters, equivalent to the total area of 76 standard football fields. It can normally carry 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Malacca at a design draft of 20.5 meters. 
During the trial voyage, the ship was actively prepared and reasonably carried out various inspection projects. By actively communicating with the ship owner about the daily inspection plan, confirming the inspection environment in advance and self-checking the inspection content, the daily inspection time was accurate within half an hour as planned. All the items submitted for inspection have passed the ship owner's inspection and acceptance, and the qualified rate reaches 100%. Especially in the process of inspection, the innovation of the main engine endurance, ship speed measurement, unattended engine room three reasonable integration of inspection, only 14 hours to successfully complete the three inspection, greatly shorten the trial time. It is worth mentioning that the fuel consumption of the ship is 310 tons and the diesel consumption is 68 tons, saving nearly 200 tons of fuel and 140 tons of diesel compared with the first ship, saving the cost of more than 2 million yuan in this respect, and the energy saving effect is remarkable. "Kaizhi" is the second of the 4 VLCC ships approved by China Merchants Ships. It is a new generation of energy-saving and environment-friendly crude oil ship, conforming to the latest ship construction regulations, reducing fuel consumption by about 25% compared with non-energy-saving and environment-friendly ships, and significantly improving environmental protection indicators. Up to now, China Merchants Ships owns a total of 52 VLCCS in operation (51 of which are 100% owned) and has placed 4 orders. |
