Russia develops new submarine rescue ship
The Russian "Newspaper" reported that the dolphin-class submarine rescue ship was designed by the Russian Diamond Central Navigation Design Bureau. The northern fleet is equipped with the second fleet of this type of rescue ship, which has a displacement of 5,000 tons, a length of 107 meters and a width of 17 meters. The speed is 15 knots and the maximum range is about 6,500 kilometers. The rescue ship's front deck is a helipad, and the rear deck is equipped with cranes, winches and other equipment. The Russian Ministry of Defense has proposed to build four such rescue ships in the National Armament Plan from 2018 to 2027. Russian experts said that the dolphin-class submarine rescue boat has advanced performance, which can not only rescue the crew on the wrecked submarine, but also provide air, electricity and other rescue equipment in the submarine cabin. The most important rescue equipment on board is the GVK-450 diving system, which can dive to 450 meters underwater and transport the personnel of the wrecked submarine to the surface. Other rescue equipment on board also includes 5 pressure chambers, a diving bell and an automatic deep-water rescue device. The automatic deep-water rescue device can dive up to 720 meters and dock with the distressed submarine. It can rescue up to 22 crew members per dive. The Russian Navy currently has a total of three submarine rescue vessels. Among the Pacific Fleet, in addition to the first ship of the dolphin-class submarine rescue ship "Igor Belousov", there is also a Soviet-built "Araguz" rescue ship. The other "Eplan" was in service in the Black Sea Fleet. It has been in service for more than 60 years. The ship is severely aging and needs to be replaced. In August 2000, the Russian "Kursk" missile nuclear submarine sank on the bottom of the Barents Sea at a depth of 105 meters below the Barents Sea. After the accident, the Russian army immediately dispatched a submarine rescue ship to implement the "Kursk" Rescue, helpless equipment, old, unable to perform the task, all 118 officers and men were killed, becoming the worst incident in the history of nuclear submarines. After this tragedy, Russia proposed plans to build a new type of rescue ship. In the 1960s, the Soviet rescue fleet was recognized as the number one in the world. For decades, the rescue fleet has accumulated rich marine rescue experience and used it to improve submarine rescue vessels. The new dolphin-class submarine rescue ship is equipped with advanced equipment. In particular, it has a diving rescue air pressure treatment center that can simulate underwater pressure and decompress the crew. According to another report, the Russian Navy is currently working to fundamentally change the rescue method for distressed submarines. Starting this year, the Russian Navy's anti-submarine ships, minesweepers and other ships will all participate in the search for distressed submarines. |
