Qingdao Shipyard to build China's first smart container ship
On December 12, Qingdao Shipyard Co., Ltd. and Smart Navigation (Qingdao) Technology Co., Ltd. signed a 300TEU intelligent navigation container ship construction contract in Qingdao. This means that the national key research and development plan project "Shipboard-Ship Collaboration-based Key Technologies for Intelligent Navigation and Control of Ships", which is the key application of scientific research results, has launched the 300TEU container ship "Zhifei",
"Zhifei" integrates and applies intelligent shipping expertise developed by many domestic research institutions and enterprises, such as the Institute of Water Transport Science of the Ministry of Transport, Dalian Maritime University, and Smart Navigation (Qingdao) Technology Co., Ltd. China Classification Society (CCS) will be responsible for plan approval and survey of the ship.
The ship will be officially built in the first half of 2020. This is the first large-scale sea vessel in China to install and apply an independently developed intelligent navigation system. It is planned to be completed and delivered in June 2021, and it will become China's first large-scale container vessel for commercial operation with intelligent navigation capabilities. The signing also marks the beginning of the rapid development of Qingdao Intelligent Shipping Technology Innovation and Comprehensive Experimental Base, which has become a key step for Qingdao to build an intelligent shipping technology highland and drive the intelligent shipping technology industry chain.
Qingdao Intelligent Shipping Technology Innovation and Comprehensive Experimental Base was settled in Qingdao Blue Valley in May 2018. According to the national key research and development plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Qingdao Intelligent Shipping Technology Innovation and Comprehensive Experimental Base will implement the "Three Ships" construction plan, and "Zhi Fei" is the first experimental ship in the "Three Ships" construction plan. In May this year, China's first unmanned autonomous navigation system test ship "Zhi Teng" was launched in Blue Valley to test and sail, which provided the basis and support for the construction of the 300TEU autonomous navigation container experimental ship "Zhi Fei". As a comprehensive experimental platform to verify the achievements of the national key research and development plan project "Key Technologies for Intelligent Navigation and Control of Ships Based on Ship-Shore Collaboration", the "Zhi Fei" will be field-tested at the Qingdao coastal intelligent ship test site after completion and will be invested later Operate to nearby commercial routes, and continue to verify the safety and stability of new intelligent navigation technology for ships. In the future, it is also planned to build 500TEU and 800TEU smart container experimental ships, and continue to verify the safety and stability of new technologies of intelligent navigation on domestic coastal and ocean routes.
It is reported that "Zhifei" will integrate and apply the intelligent shipping professional technology developed by many domestic research institutions and enterprises such as the Institute of Water Transport Science of the Ministry of Transport, Dalian Maritime University and Smart Navigation (Qingdao) Technology Co., Ltd. With the advancement of national key R & D projects, the "Zhifei" will continue to update its own intelligent navigation capabilities and levels, and carry out remote remote control and autonomous navigation in stages.
It is understood that the national key R & D plan "Key Technologies for Intelligent Navigation and Control of Ships and Shores" is led by the Water Transport Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, and Smart Navigation (Qingdao) Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully declared with a number of enterprises and institutions. Qingdao Intelligent Shipping Technology Innovation and Comprehensive Experimental Base undertakes research contents such as research and development, integration and demonstration of key technologies and systems for autonomous navigation of coastal ships, research on the framework and standards of the intelligent navigation technology test system for ships, and the construction and regulation of coastal intelligent ship test sites.
