13,000-ton deck ship "ABM Explorer" was successfully delivered
China Heavy Industry Wuchuan Group Marine Industrial Park is a 13,000-ton deck cargo ship “ABM Explorer” built by the Louis Vuitton Group, a 150-year old shipping company, delivered at the Ruitai Shipyard in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. The "ABM Explorer" started construction on June 15, 2017 at the Wuliu Group's Shuangliu Base. It rationalizes resources, optimizes the production model, adopts the lane separation method, and fixes the intermediate product cycle to integrate shell, file, and coating. The construction process will maximize the pre-arrangement rate of hull sections and ensure that the water will be launched on schedule on January 18 of this year.
Deck carrier is a kind of bulk carrier and is mainly used for the transportation of coal, ore and other goods. Wang Yu, Dean of the Wuchuan Shipbuilding Industry Institute, said that the reason why the speed can be improved while saving energy is that the "ABM Explorer" has optimized the linear design of the hull and adopted a double-armed scull arrangement.
This type of ship aims at the frontier market and applies advanced dual-inboard finned tail-patented patented technology, which effectively solves the ship-machine-paddle matching technical problem, and has excellent energy-saving and high-efficiency effects. It also adopts ship-shape optimization design and buoyancy-center-of-gravity match adjustment. The ballast water volume was effectively reduced and the ship's cargo capacity increased.
