Hong Kong Minghua orders four 62,000t multipurpose vessels at Jinling Shipyard
On March 27, China Merchants Shipping announced that Hong Kong Minghua Shipping Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, plans to sign a shipbuilding agreement with an associated party, China Merchants Bureau Jinling Shipping (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., to order 4 62,000 tons multi-purpose vessels The construction price does not exceed USD 29.674 million / ship (including commission), and the total investment does not exceed USD 119 million. The delivery time is expected to be 2022.
Four 62,000-ton multi-purpose vessels are planned to be built this time, with a total price of US $ 118.696 million, which will be paid in five phases according to the progress of the shipbuilding, specifically 10% of the contract, 10% of the construction, 10% of the bottom, 10% of the launch and 60% of the delivery . The delivery time is expected to be 2022.
China Merchants Steamship stated that the purchase and construction plan of the multi-purpose vessel is the need for the company's bulk cargo fleet to renew its capacity. It is conducive to improving the operational capabilities and economic benefits of bulk cargo routes, stabilizing and improving market control. After the new ship is delivered, it will have positive significance for optimizing the company's bulk carrier fleet structure and enhancing market competitiveness.
