Recently, as the last 38,000-ton bulk carrier "Quality" was completed and left the factory, the routine repair project for the six series of bulk carriers of Hong Kong BSM Co., Ltd. undertaken by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. was successfully concluded. After the ship sailed, the shipowner's maintenance once again sent a warm letter of thanks, highly appraising the great efforts of Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry to overcome the huge impact of the epidemic on ship repair in 2020, and make every effort to promote the repair process of six ships. .
Since April 2020, Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry has successively undertaken the repair work of a total of 6 ships including "mobile", "ability", "merchant", "smart", "integrity" and "quality". The main project is the five-year special inspection of ships and sanding of cargo holds. This is the first time after nearly five years that Dalian COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry and BSM have once again carried out a series of ship repair cooperation, and both sides need to run in again from the maintenance team to the general management team. In line with the principle of serving the shipowner and focusing on quality as the best marketing, the general management team made detailed plans after the first ship arrived at the factory. At the same time, the technical agreement, drawing plan and procurement plan were tracked and analyzed weekly. Ensure that key nodes and materials are timely and accurate.
During the maintenance period of the "Merchant" vessel, the management team adjusted and tracked the node plan and manpower in a timely manner, and completed the additional project of the second sand blasting suddenly proposed by the shipowner; when the "Wise" vessel maintenance project entered the tail-off period and was about to sail, the company was located in Dalian In the Bay Area, the management team communicated with shipowners in a timely manner, adjusted their plans, paid close attention to the development of the epidemic and related requirements for epidemic prevention, actively coordinated to provide shipowners and crews with epidemic prevention materials, and ensured the supply of living materials for shipowners and crews. Although the ship "Wise" was delayed for 25 days due to the epidemic situation, the shipowner did not file a claim for the delay of the construction period, but added an award during the settlement to thank the company for the thoughtful service provided to all shipowners and crew during the epidemic. During the maintenance period of the last maintenance ship "Quality", due to the cargo period, the owner proposed to shorten the construction period to 12 days, which coincided with the winter cold current in Dalian and the sudden drop in temperature, which brought about the special inspection and sand removal project. A great challenge, the shipowner expressed concern about whether it could be completed and sailed in time. Under tremendous pressure, the management team overcame the influence of bad weather and completed all the works within 12 days with quality and quantity, and finally ensured that the ship sailed ahead of schedule.
