Global orders for new ships picked up sharply last week

In other ship types, Tallink Group ordered and built a 50000 GT/2800 passenger ship in Rauma Shipyard, which is expected to be delivered in 2022. Stena RoRo has placed an order for a 2,750-lane meter / 1,000-seat ro-ro ship at avic weihai shipyard, which is expected to be delivered in 2023 and will be leased to French company Brittany Ferries for a long term after delivery. Princess cruises has placed an order at Fincantieri shipyard for two 175000GT/4300 LNG powered cruises, which are expected to be delivered in 2023 and 2025.
