Jiangnan Shipbuilding delivered maersk's fourth 2200TEU container ship
The 2,200TEU container ship NIMTOFTE MAERSK, built for ICBC Leasing by Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a unit of China State Shipbuilding Corp, was named and delivered in Shanghai on September 24. Upon delivery, NIMTOFTE MAERSK will join the MAERSK Line fleet.

It is understood that the 2200TEU series branch line container ship project is the first cooperation between Maersk group and China Shipbuilding Group in the field of container ship. It is designed by CSS708 institute, classed by China Classification Society (CCS), and flies the Danish flag. It is a high-cold container ship with a total length of 172 meters and a width of 32.2 meters. It has a container capacity of 2,208 TEU. It is equipped with 396 cold boxes, 100 spare cold boxes and hatch cover spray system. Equipped with today's ship industry top level automatic control system, a total of more than 3500 monitoring stations, can realize the whole ship monitoring, alarm and balance between the main system integration and automation control of energy efficiency, with high intelligence, in the cab can finish and ship more than 90% of the handling processing, and bring the lifting capacity, can meet the capacity for independent loading and unloading, It is a model of a new generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly feeder container ships.
NIMTOFTE MAERSK is the fourth vessel in icbc's programme to charter five 2200TEU container ships. The successful delivery of this series of ships is a fruitful achievement achieved by the joint efforts of the relevant partners, which also demonstrates the excellent construction capacity of the shipyard and lays a solid foundation for the subsequent ship construction and the successful conclusion of the project.
At present, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has contracted 2200TEU, 2500TEU, 15000TEU, 21000TEU, 23000TEU and other series of container ships, and completed the whole series of container product layout from small and medium-sized cable container ships to large and ultra large container ships. The last ship in the series is also under construction according to the production schedule. The 2200TEU container fleet will inject fresh strength into the Jiangnan Shipbuilding container ship family and Maersk Line.
