Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Baosteel Shipping signed a contract for two 59,000-ton bulk carriers
Song Shuming, deputy general manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Industry Group, and Wang Huaqiang, vice President of Baosteel Resources (International) Co., Ltd. signed the shipbuilding contract on behalf of both parties. The two 59000-ton bulk carriers are jointly developed by Yangzijiang Shipping Industry and Shanghai Shipping Research and Design Institute. The total length of the vessels is about 199.95m, the length between the two pillars is 197.00m, the width of the vessels is 35.80m, the depth of the vessels is 18.00m, the designed draft is 11.20m, the structural draft is 11.70m and the cargo capacity is about 81,300 cubic meters. The vessels are classified into China Classification Society and the price is 304.5 million yuan. . This type of ship has the advantages of large capacity, heavy load and flexible cargo distribution, which is suitable for cargo transport in China's coastal areas and the Yangtze River. Can be sailed in the domestic offshore navigation area, the Yangtze River under the nanjing port and the Pearl River basin, its features are single propeller, low speed diesel engine drive, single shell, single deck. This ship is suitable for carrying bulk cargo of coal, sand, iron ore, grain, etc. It is reported that in order to meet the needs of China Baowu to build a large logistics support system for the raw material end, and to improve the capability of China Baowu raw material end "port and cargo" integrated logistics supply chain service system, Baosteel Shipping has started a new ship construction project. The project will build two 59,000-ton bulk carriers, the first of which is expected to be delivered in May 2022. The construction of the new ship will help to optimize the age structure and shape structure of baosteel shipping's existing capacity, and enhance the competitive advantage of Baosteel shipping's own fleet, so as to cope with the competitive situation of the future market and support the sustainable and high-quality development of Baosteel Shipping. |
