Daewoo Shipbuilding received an order for 1 LNG ship
On February 15, Daewoo Shipbuilding announced that it had received an order for a 174,000 cubic meter LNG ship from Maran Gas Maritime, a subsidiary of the Greek ship owner Angelicoussis Shipping Group. The new ship will be delivered in the first half of 2021, and the specific price has not been announced. Daewoo Shipbuilding is the most popular Korean shipbuilding company of Angelicoussis. Since the first ordering of a ship in Daewoo Shipbuilding in 1994, Angelicoussis has now built more than 100 ships in Daewoo Shipbuilding. Including this LNG ship, Daewoo Shipbuilding has received orders for 7 new ships this year, with a total value of 740 million US dollars. This year, Daewoo Shipbuilding's orders for orders were $8 billion, a 10% increase from last year's $7.3 billion order. Last year, Daewoo Shipbuilding received orders of US$6.81 billion.
