Hoglund works with Chinese shipyards to upgrade 40-year-old ships of American owners
Høglund will design, engineer, produce, supply and deliver a complete integrated automation solution to support the ship's transition from steam propulsion to dual fuel propulsion, including a 320 bar designed high pressure FGSS, as well as Høglund's PMS and SPM. To effectively achieve fuel savings and ensure safer and more reliable operations. As part of the automation of the new onboard systems, Høglund will also integrate digital solutions for the ship to collect data. These automation and digitization capabilities will effectively protect assets and look to the future, improving management and environmental performance and extending the life of the ship. David Gunaseelan, VICE President of sales and Marketing for Høglund's Ship solutions, said: "The work we are going to do for the ship will lead to safer and more reliable ship operations and will improve its sustainability. Helping to extend the life of a container ship that has been at sea for so long is a very beneficial thing, and we can make the systems work regardless of the ship's age or condition." |
