China Shipbuilding Changxing Shipbuilding Base phase II Project No.2 shipyard project started
The second phase of CSSC Changxing Shipbuilding Base is located along the south coast of Changxing Island in Shanghai. The total construction area is 431.8 hectares, with a planned investment of 18 billion yuan. The first phase will cover 214.6 hectares with a planned investment of 8 billion yuan and a planned floor area of 460,000 square meters. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023. 
The construction of the second phase of changxing Shipbuilding Base will further promote the transformation of Shanghai Changxing Island Marine Equipment Base from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing, promote intelligent production lines and green shipbuilding technology, and build the world's advanced total factor industrial base integrating final assembly, system modules, core supporting facilities and production services. This project will build and form a complete intelligent workshop system covering intelligent units, intelligent production lines and perception systems, realize the leap-forward improvement of shipbuilding core capabilities, and become a new level and new highlight of the technological innovation and transformation development of China's shipbuilding industry in the "14th Five-Year plan". It is understood that the third Aviation Industry Bureau won the bid for the Second dock project of changxing Shipbuilding Base phase ii project of CSSC. The planned period is 820 days, and the bid price is 669 million yuan. The project is located in the Second phase of CSSC Changxing Shipbuilding Base, Changxing Island, Chongming District, Shanghai. The main construction contents include 1 dock, 8 crane lanes, 1 main group platform, bank revetment on both sides of dock mouth and two jetties, etc. The no.2 shipyard project is the most important production facility in the second phase of THE Changxing Shipbuilding Base of China Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), and its commencement marks the new stage of the construction of the second phase of the Changxing Shipyard. Changxing second phase is to carry out the strategy of China shipping group and the Shanghai government cooperation agreement spirit, promote shipbuilding enterprises in Shanghai layout optimization adjustment and transformation of development, in-depth implementation of Marine power, technological power, military and civilian integration, etc. The important of national strategy, is the key to the development of Chinese Marine shipping industry high quality engineering.
