33 days early! Zhoushan CoSCO Shipping Heavy Industries delivers KNUTSEN a shuttle tanker
On November 3, The 152,000 ton LIVE KNUTSEN shuttle tanker built by Zhoushan CoSCO Shipping Heavy Industries for Norwegian company KNUTSEN was signed and delivered 33 days ahead of schedule. At the signing and delivery site, Rene Tang Dannulat, resident manager of KNUTSEN Company, and Zhou Jianhua, General manager of Zhoushan CoSCO Shipping Heavy Industry co., Ltd. signed the ship delivery document on behalf of both parties. Ao Wuping, deputy general manager of Zhoushan CoSCO Shipping Heavy Industry co., Ltd. and members of the project team witnessed this important moment together. "LIVE KNUTSEN" is the fourth 152,000 ton shuttle tanker built and delivered by Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industries for KNUTSEN Company. The three sister ships that have been put into operation have good performance indicators so far, and have been well received by the ship owners and charterers. The project has a total length of 278.9 meters, a width of 47 meters, and a depth of 24.9 meters. It is classified into DNV classification Society. It is a Suez type shuttle tanker independently developed, designed and built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industries with the characteristics of environmental protection and energy saving. It is one of the largest and most advanced shuttle tankers designed and built in the shipping market. The project is equipped with a main thruster with adjustable pitch and five azimuth thrusters with DP2 dynamic positioning capability. Combined with the bow bow loading system, it can meet the requirements of operation in complex sea conditions. It meets the requirements of DNV Classification Society PLUS, CSA(FLS2), COMF(V3,C3), NAUT(AW), CLEAN(DESIGN) and other ship class symbols, and has very high requirements in structural fatigue DESIGN, crew living and working environment comfort, driving bridge layout and pollution prevention and CLEAN DESIGN. The project has reached the international advanced level in cargo capacity, fuel consumption, speed and other technical performance indicators, filling the technical gap of suez type shuttle tankers in China, and has significant economic benefits and market prospects. When the optical axis On January 18, 2021, "LIVE KNUTSEN" was successfully launched in Dock 3, creating an 88-day loading cycle, two days earlier than the original plan. On July 28, 2021, "LIVE KNUTSEN" successfully returned from its sea trial mission, four days ahead of schedule.
